In her former career at Culligan Shelby was a national Top Producer for 15 consecutive years, and was the first female & youngest Culligan International Hall of Fame Recipient in 2004. So much to catch up on! My intent was to post to this blog regularly and I must confess that FaceBook has been a convenient way for me to get some updates out to so many people in my life. I hope to elaborate on much of where I’ve been and have experienced here more routinely especially now that I LIVE IN MONTANA!!! In May, I left Montana feeling a bit disappointed because I didn’t find a piece of property worthy of my hostel. As I left Montana, Melissa suggested that I contact a realtor that is highly regarded by Melissa’s boss. I gave Shelby Nash Hunter of Westward Bound Real Estate a call and when she returned my call, it couldn’t have happened at a more critical time in this journey. I had had a very heated conversation with Rolf and I was home reflecting on the exchange and emotionally drained. My cell phone rang with a Montana phone # and it was Shelby. It is important to know that when I left my message for Shelby, I gushed and gushed about my idea, my dream and how I needed the perfect property to pull it off. For those of you who know me, I DO get lit up and UBER enthused about what excitement lies ahead. Shelby got an earful on her voice mail. Shelby caught on to my passion around this venture and said something like, “Terri, before I tell you about the property that I think will be perfect for your hostel…… I just want you to know that I am excited about your business plan and I want to help you achieve that dream.” Well, she didn’t say it EXACTLY like that, but along those lines. Those of you who know and love me also know my memory is sketchy at best…..lucky if I have 14 brain cells sparking at any given moment, some days. I can’t explain it, there was something about this gal Shelby and her genuine demeanor and when she told me about the property that had yet to even be listed, I just knew it was the right piece of land. And like so many connections I have made of late, it was like our souls collided. I somehow knew in my heart it was right. Long story short, Melissa walked the property with Shelby soon after and on August 4th I closed on 9 beautiful acres located in Coram, Montana….. just 5 miles from West Glacier which is the western entrance to Glacier National Park! FREAKIN’ NAILED IT! So, if ever there was a need for some gratitude to be bestowed upon someone, it’s now and couldn’t be more aptly cast Shelby’s way. What an absolute Godsend she has been. And I do believe that God sent her my way as He has so many people, opportunities and blessings. I believe that I will maintain a connection and a friendship with Shelby and I am truly blessed to have met her.

Shelby and Mike treated us more like friends than merely clients. They helped, advised, encouraged and supported us at every step in our cross country move and the sale of our house. This was my first experience of packing up a life and selling a house, but Shelby and Mike made the experience a completely positive one. They did this by going way above and beyond. They helped us find homes for treasured possessions that we had to leave behind, they helped us find cleaners, painters and repair people and did so much more. And this was all in the months before the house was actually listed.
They made the house look so beautiful that once it was listed it sold in record time. They also made the closing process absolutely painless and easy even though we were thousands of miles away.
